Landing page for a business coach

The Brief

Client: Lindsey Burden

Start Date: June 2025

Services: Web Design & Development

Social media is a wonderful tool, as are the many SaSS (software as a service) solutions that many of us use to run our businesses. But, unfortunately, sometimes they go wrong and there is NOTHING we can do about it. Which is why it’s really important to have as much as possible under our own control.

So, when Lindsey’s mailing platform started playing up, she decided that it was time to get her landing pages set up on her website – and she gave me a shout!

Client's thoughts

Screenshot of a LinkedIn Post by Lindsey Burden. "𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞, 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞. ✅ Last week, I hit a wall - not literally, but I was very frustrated. You see, I'm running a challenge to help my clients grow their email lists (and I'm taking part because I walk my talk). But my MailerLite landing page disappeared into the internet void — likely melted in the heatwave — and I had no sign-up page. 🤬 Cue frustration. Cue shouting at the screen. Cue me messaging the fabulous Alice O'Neill of Web Wisdom. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐨? She swooped in like the website wizard she is. With minimal direction (and a few dodgy screenshots from me), she built a brand-new sign-up page on my website — quickly, calmly, brilliantly. Then I decided the look was flat. Let's be honest: Alice was working from an original landing page I created, so it was no surprise. But did Alice roll her eyes? Nope. She got straight back in, gave it a glow-up, and now it's live. And fabulous. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮. People who step up when things glitch. Those who don't need hand-holding or roll their eyes. Who genuinely want to help you. Alice 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈'𝐦 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 💛 👉 Check out the landing page she rescued and rebuilt: https://lnkd.in/ecreUC_V Sign up while you're there to receive a weekly dose of honesty, tips, and questions designed to help you take action in a way that works for you."

How much does a website cost?

Good question!

And as with many such questions, the answer is “It depends!”

Professionally built websites can start from around £500 for a very simple build but can easily head up towards £2000-£10,000+ for larger or more bespoke projects.

You need to consider what your website needs to be able to do in order to make it work well for your business.

Do you need a “shop window” that showcases your products or services and helps your clients to build confidence in your skills and quality?

Do you need a specific functionality such as a booking or payment platform?

How soon do you need your site to be ready?

All of these factors will be taken into consideration when your web developer puts together a quote for you. Best advice? Make sure you know what you want and communicate that clearly with your developer.

And if you’re not sure what you need yet, ask! If you can give your developer an overview of your business and what you want to achieve, they should be able to guide you on the kind of site that will best suit you.
